New in for November: the latest from Decorex, Romo, and Jane Churchill
Hello again, and Happy November!
The season for scarves, hot chocolate, and autumnal walks is here! As the seasons change, it's the perfect time to look at your home with fresh eyes and decide what could be updated or reimagined.
Our day out at Decorex
Every October Bex and I look forward to catching the train to London for Decorex. It’s always a brilliant day out: we catch up with our wonderful suppliers, soak up the inspiration and see what’s new in the world of interior design. We were delighted to discover a new lighting supplier whose pieces really stopped us in our tracks, and we can’t wait to see how they might find a home with our clients in Hampshire.
Another highlight this year was the artwork and textured panels. A new favorite would have to be Green Lili, a great family buisness creating contemporary artwork. Fabulously suited to many of our projects, and very reasonably priced too!
It was lovely to see different ways of decorating walls with textured panels and abstract sculptural pieces. We're excited to see how this concept may progress in the future. And as if all the inspiration and beautiful displays weren’t enough, we came back with 6 tote bags and 2 bars of chocolate...who doesn’t love a good freebie?!
Fresh Fabrics from Romo
We always love the return of Autumn, as it means we discover a whole new world of fabrics! This year has definitely not disappointed, and so we would be remiss to not draw your attention to the latest collections from Romo and Jane Churchill. If any of these prints take your fancy, you can have a further look in person at our studio, we are proud to be stockists of these collections, and hope find them as gorgeous as we do.
Averly: A fabulous collection of small-scale prints and weaves, each brimming with personality and charm. Featuring paired-back stripes to bold pomegranate prints, there really is something for everyone. Averly is also available as wallcoverings, with patterns rooted in the tradition of mark-making. This collection is a wonderful way to bring warmth into your space.
Lowen: Inspired by the mid-century aesthetic and updated through a contemporary lens, this collection has been carefully designed so each colourway echoes the harmony of the iconic era. If you have a mid-century home and want a tasteful way to honour its architecture, this one is for you.
Pinto: a charming new trimmings collection. Trimmings are often overlooked, but this kind of attention to detail is what pulls a scheme together and gives soft furnishings a considered look. Pinto draws on the richness of traditional trimmings, with a playful twist that we absolutely love.
Our new favourite releases from Jane Churchill
Carina: This eclectic collection of prints and embroideries is quintessentially Jane Churchill, with their signature charm and texture. As always, no detail has been spared, there is hand-embroidery and fringed cutwork throughout the collection, helping to tastefully elevate the designs. This one is sure to become a new favourite!
Barros stripe: Inspired by the geometry of South America and kilim patterns, this is an inventive collection with real character. The designs are confident without being overstated, so they work beautifully as a statement or alongside other carefully chosen fabrics.
Tia: These woven designs are made with incredibly high-quality yarns, which give the patterns a natural depth. If you want to feel luxury, as well as see it, this tactile range is for you. It also sits happily in many styles, whether your home is mid-century, traditional or contemporary.
