For this football club, we were tasked with redesigning and redecorating several key areas, including the training ground facilities, owner’s box and hospitality boxes. We’ve also provided design advice for the conference rooms, corridors and transitional spaces.
Training Ground
At the training ground, nestled in a peaceful natural landscape on the outskirts of the city, we have modernised and refreshed the first-team dining room, and refurbished the changing rooms, corridors, and reception area. We focused on creating a timeless, modern feel that complements both the building’s contemporary architecture and its surroundings. We added a pop of colour with new dining chairs, created interest and texture with moss walls and 3D lettering, and created an informal games area for socialising. Outdated slogan decor and strong bold colour was replaced with a neutral palette and black-and-white photography that pays tribute to the club’s heritage and the sport itself.
We also refurbished the changing rooms, re-upholstering the seating for a blend of comfort and practicality. The neutral colour palette now runs throughout the building, complementing the internal concrete and external wooden cladding, with moss walls and faux planting allowing a connection to the pitches and external landscaping.
Owners Box
For the owner’s box, we created a standout space with a luxurious, premium feel, carefully designing every detail from the textured wallpaper and panelling to the bespoke modular sofa and cushions. We made sure the space was perfect for entertaining, incorporating dining and comfortable seating areas, with as well designed storage and servery spaces. Every element was thoughtfully considered, from branded embossed table mats to Robert Welsh serviceware. We also curated photography and artwork that both honour the club’s history and instills confidence and their vision for the future.
Hospitality Boxes
We have designed two variations of a scheme for refurbishing the hospitality boxes to accommodate different catering preferences. One option offers a formal dining set up and the other a more informal dining option with poser tables and bar stools. A neutral colour palette was chosen to allow for private sponsors to customise the space with their own branding, while still maintaining a modern and premium feel.
To elevate the space, we have refitted new, more premium kitchen cabinetry with a vintage reflective glass splashback, creating an illusion of space and light. The dark carpet tiles have been replaced with pale wood LVT, again visually creating a lighter more spacious feel, whilst being practical. The upholstery fabrics for the dining chairs and bar stools are stylish but also easy to clean, ensuring durable finishes to guarantee the longevity of the space.
