This project involved the refurbishment and remodelling of a central Winchester home, with a focus on the hallway, living room, garden room and snug.
The living room was reconfigured to include different seating areas, making the most of the generous space while allowing the grand piano to remain a central feature. A dedicated fireside seating area adds a cosy touch for winter evenings.
In the garden room, an original single door was closed up and a large window converted into new patio doors opening onto the terrace. The outdated fireplace was removed, insulation was improved and radiators added to ensure the room can be enjoyed year-round. We designed a bespoke media wall, beautifully hand crafted and installed by Cole Carpentry, providing a striking focal point and a place to showcase a curated selection of the client’s books and memorabilia.
The old metal lean-to was removed and the small, previously unused space, completely transformed into a fully equipped, stylish shower room. Amtico flooring was laid throughout the space to create a seamless flow to the terrace.
Finally, the snug was refreshed with the new paint and furniture to complement the client’s existing curtains, giving the room a renewed sense of comfort and character.
